It may be mentioned here that a meeting of the Council of Ministers was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of PM Modi. Many important aspects were discussed. On the other hand, many important proposals have been put forward in today’s meeting. Anurag Thakur said that today the Cabinet has decided to launch the PM Nutrition Scheme. Under the scheme, more than 11.2 lakh government school children will get free meals.

The mid-day meal will be replaced by a new plan


This scheme will be run for 5 years. The government has decided to spend Rs 1.31 lakh crore for this. Let me tell you that this scheme will replace the current mid-day meal. The scheme will be run by the Central Government with the help of State Governments. But primarily all the responsibility will be on the central government.

The central government has launched the PM nutrition scheme. It will benefit more than 11.2 lakh government school children across the country. Addressing the media, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said the scheme would run for five years at a cost of Rs 1.31 lakh crore. In addition, the Union Cabinet has approved a grant-in-aid of Rs 1,650 crore over 5 years, continuing the National Export Insurance Department (NEIA) scheme.
