Petrol will now be replaced by Ethanol!


Ethanol is said to be an alternative to petrol. The government is going to take a big decision on flex-fuel engines in the next 8-10 days. Such engines will be made necessary for the automobile industry. Flexible fuel means a fuel that replaces petrol and that is ethanol. Roads and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari says the cost of this alternative fuel will be Rs 60-62 per liter. While the price of petrol is more than 100 rupees. Thus, the use of ethanol will save the people of the country Rs 30-35 per liter.

Flex-fuel engines will become mandatory


“I am the transport minister, I am going to issue an order to the industry that not only there will be a petrol engine, there will also be a flex-fuel engine,” Gadkari said at an event. Where people will have the option to use 100 percent crude oil or then 100 percent ethanol. He said a decision would be taken in the next 8-10 days. We are going to make Flex-Fuel Engine mandatory for the automobile industry.

Flex-fuel engines are made in many countries


Nitin Gadkari said automobile companies in Brazil, Canada, and the United States are producing flex-fuel. Consumers in these countries are being offered the option of 100 percent petrol or 10 percent bio-ethanol. Nitin Gadkari said that at present, 8.5 percent ethanol is mixed in petrol per liter. Which was 1 to 1.5 percent in 2014. Ethanol purchases have also increased from 380 million liters to 320 million liters.

Ethanol fuel is much better than petrol


Transport Minister Gadkari says ethanol is a much better fuel than petrol and is less expensive, pollution-free, and indigenous.
